Why This Reference Exists
Michigan treats a sheriff-held booking photograph as a public record under the cases summarized in the state Attorney General's FOIA handbook, but that does not require Crawford County to post every photo online. The Crawford County Sheriff's Office creates and keeps jail booking records. The Crawford County courts show what happened after a charge was filed. The Michigan Department of Corrections publishes OTIS records for people within state corrections, not for ordinary county-jail custody. When no public web entry exists, the county FOIA process is the formal route. This site organizes those distinct official paths and explains what each one can answer without copying the underlying records.
Records Paths Collected Here
The material is arranged around the source that actually owns each record.
- The home page explains current-custody calls, booking-record requests, court follow-up, and state or federal custody checks.
- The wanted page separates the local warrant process from a curated most-wanted list.
- The Grayling page identifies the city police report route and the county jail booking destination.
- The crime-news page distinguishes official records from selected news reports and unofficial historical pages.

How Search Partners Work
Some search boxes are supplied by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, and result rules. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep access to the editorial material free. A referral does not give this site control over a partner's data, fees, or results.
